4th of July Printable Pin Image

You guys! I have literally the easiest Fourth of July project for you today! And the best part is that it will be even easier for you since I did the heavy lifting with the printable. I’ll admit that I don’t do a ton of holiday decorating for the Fourth, but I wanted something festive that would compliment my tablescapes for the holiday (sharing those soon) and be fun at the same time.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • baker’s twine in either red/white or blue/white
  • red and blue washi tape
  • a picture frame of your choice (document sized)
  • my free printable (see below)

My twine was from the Target One Spot and my washi came from Target (in their office supplies section) and A.C. Moore (the blue stars). I already had these on hand but if you don’t it’s not much of an investment.

Cheap and easy? My kind of project.

Here’s what you do:

First, cut a small length of the twine (mine was about 9.5″- maybe a little less, I eyeballed it) and gently lay strips of washi tape over it. I just tapped down the ends of the tape a little. No need to stick it all down.

Next, gently pull up on the twine being careful not to tear the washi tape in the middle and fold the tape over to create your little flags.

Grab your scissors and give them a little trim. I made mine pointed but you could just straighten up the edge and leave them square.

Grab a frame, insert your printable, and use a little washi tape to attach your mini garland to the frame. (See below)

Easy right? And super cute! Here it is on my sofa table in our dining room:

You totally should! If you do, let me know what you make. 🙂

  2. Wow, so much awesome stuff going around, bloggers are so talented and you sure are too. Love your printable and thanks for sharing. The little banner is cute, I’ve never used washi tape either, guess I’d better get busy with that huh? I always seem to miss the good stuff at Target’s bargains, doggone it. I’ll look for the washi tape tho. Would love to get some like yours. I have gotten some tape at Jo-Ann’s on their $ bin, not called washi but guess it’s the same. Happy summer days, they fly by so quickly
